8.1.3 AUTOMATIC BACKUP OF DIGITAL VIDEO ASSY DATA

Description
Data in the EEPROM (IC1204/2 kbit) mounted on the DIGITAL VIDEO Assy are automatically copied to an area (Area A in the figure
below) of the EEPROM (IC5502/64 kbit) mounted on the RGB Assy as backup data in a case of assembly replacement.
Therefore, the adjustment data for the unit (data in the EEPROM of the DIGITAL VIDEO Assy) can be maintained even after replacement
of the DIGITAL VIDEO and/or RGB Assy.
Note: As for the COLOR and TINT items, even though they are adjustment data for the unit, as they are stored in Area C (see the figure
below) they are not automatically backed up.

1 Automatic copying is performed every time the Service Factory mode is entered (regardless of the
keyword.)
2 When the power is turned on, keyword checking is performed, then automatic copying is performed if
the keyword for the DIGITAL VIDEO Assy (Area B) is "not adjusted," and that for the RGB Assy is
"adjusted."
