11' Confined Space Tripod Leg Device Bracket #7291A
This manual is intended to meet the Manufacturer's Instructions as required by the American National Standards
Institute (ANSI) Z359.1-2007, Z117.1-2009, A10-32-2012, and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) regulations
1926.502, 1926.21, and 1910.146 and should be used as part of an employee training program as required by OSHA.
This product is part of a personal fall protection, restraint, work positioning, suspension, or rescue system. A Personal
Fall Arrest System (PFAS) is typically composed of an anchorage and a Full Body Harness (FBH), with a connecting
device, i.e., a Shock Absorbing Lanyard (SAL), or a Self-Retracting Device (SRD), attached to the dorsal D-ring of the
FBH. These instructions must be provided to the user of this equipment. The user must read and understand the
manufacturer's instructions for each component or part of the complete system. Manufacturer's instructions must be
followed for proper use, care, and maintenance of this product. These instructions must be retained and be kept
available for the user's reference at all times. Alterations or misuse of this product, or failure to follow instructions,
may result in serious injury or death.
The FallTech® Leg Bracket is for use with the 7275tripod only. The tripod is primarily for those entering and working in
confined spaces, as determined by OSHA. This User Information Sheet is provided to facilitate installation of the tripod
leg bracket, P/N. The bracket consists of two plates, a Leg Bracket Back Plate, and Leg Bracket Front Plate, held on to the
tripod leg Integral Securing Detent Pin and four bolts, lock washers and nuts. The Leg Bracket Front Plate is equipped
with a Leg Bracket Rod, and an Integral Device Securing Detent Pin, as shown in Figure 1.
It is required that the Tripod Leg Bracket be mounted on the outer leg portion of one of the tripod legs; and in alignment
with a leg hole location/height that will facilitate ease of use of a retrieval device. See Figure 2.
Assembly:
Position the Leg Bracket Back Plate on the inside of the tripod leg and insert the Integral Bracket Securing Pin through
the tripod leg as shown in Figure 2.
Position the Leg Bracket Front Plate on the outside, with the Leg Bracket Rod at the bottom, as shown in Figure 3.Insert
the four bolts through the bolt holes in both plates.
Place a lock washer on a bolt and thread a nut onto that bolt finger tight. Do all four bolts. Ensure the bracket is
straight, clear of interference, and correctly oriented, as shown in Figure 4. Tighten the nuts. Do not over-tighten.
Place the device in the bracket, engaging the device bracket slots onto the Leg Bracket Rod, and insert the Integral
Device Securing Detent Pin.
