Attaching the Side Handle

Always use side handle. The position of the side handle attached to the
hammer case can be changed by unscrewing the handle,(right hand
threads). Relocate the handle to the desired position and reinstall.
L u b r i c a t i o n
Your tool was properly lubricated before leaving the factory. In from
two to six months, depending upon use, take or send your tool to an
authorized D WA LT Service Center or other qualified service

personnel for a complete cleaning, inspection and relubrication.
Tools used constantly on production or heavy duty jobs or exposed to
heat may require more frequent lubrication. Tools "out of service" for
long periods should be relubricated before being put back into
service.
B ru s h e s
Use only genuine D WA LT brushes available from your retailer or

D WA LT service center. Ensure that the brush caps are held securely
E
in place and the screws are tight.

Recommended accessories for use with your tool are available at

CAUTION: The use of any non-recommended accessory may be
hazardous.
NOTE: Use only impact sockets with a hole to accomodate releasing
the detent pin. Non-impact sockets may break and cause a
hazardous condition. Sockets are available for purchase at your
retailer or D WALT service center.
