Physical Installation

1. Install the pump in a suitable gas-tight basin at least 14 inches (35.6 cm) in diameter and 18 inches
(45.7 cm) deep, vented in accordance with local, state, and federal plumbing codes.
2. Place the pump-basin assembly on a hard, level surface.
• Never place pump directly on clay, earth, or gravel surfaces.
• Secure the pump so the starting torque does not cause the pump to contact anyone or anything.
3. Install discharge piping.
• Do not use piping smaller than the pump discharge.
• Use ABS, PVC, polyethylene, or stainless steel pipe.
