Controller description
TOP-2
TOP-2 is an electronic room temperature controller for
fan coils complete with automatic or manual selection of
the three fan levels or the heating and cooling function.
NOTE.
TOP-2 only controls one fan coil. The ELMZ
device is required to control several fan coils
together.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS:
•
Digital thermostat with LCD display and back-
ground lighting
•
Especially for controlling fan coils with many func-
tions:
- Display of date and time
- Individually settable weekly timer program
with energy saving function (reduced operation)
- Independent switching between heating and
cooling modes on the basis of the requirements
in the room and the flow temperature available
- The temperature ranges for heating (from 26°C
flow temperature) and cooling (up to 25°C flow
temperature) can be set individually
- Recording of flow temperature (in the lamellar
heat exchanger) and the room temperature (at
the fan)
- Independent or manual control of the fan levels
possible
- For operation with 2 pipe system
- Frost protection function
- Actuation of the 2 point valve installed in the
factory, to interrupt flow in standby
- Diagnostics function for troubleshooting ther-
mostats and system faults

OPERATION:
Operation using the buttons arranged around the dis-
play:
Button Desig-
BUTTON
(PLUS)
If you press this button once, you can read off the
current temperature set value, pressing again increases
the set value in increments [+ 0.1]. Press the button for
2 seconds to accelerate the increase.
After 10 seconds without input the unit exits the tem-
perature set value settings automatically. Alternatively,
the parameter can be quit by pressing the ON/OFF but-
ton. The settings are then accepted.
This button is also used for paging through the menus
and for increasing the set values in the menus.
BUTTON
If you press this button once, you can read off the
current temperature set value, pressing again reduces
the set value in increments [- 0.1]. Press the button for
2 seconds to accelerate the reduction.
After 10 seconds without input the unit exits the tem-
perature set value settings automatically. Alternatively,
the parameter can be quit by pressing the ON/OFF but-
ton. The settings are then accepted.
This button is also used for paging through the menus
and for reducing the set values in the menus.
BUTTON
If pressed for 2 seconds the fan coil is switched off and
"OFF" appears in the display. The room temperature,
time, alarms (if set) continue to be active.
This button is also used to quit the individual settings
menus.
