The gas struts don’t worl
To fix the gas struts on the DREAMS Charlie bed:
1. Lift the ottoman frame without the mattress to access the gas strut attachment points.
2. With help from another person, position the slat frame onto the slat frame support bars, aligning the holes nearest to the headboard.
3. Use 8 bolts (45 mm), 16 washers, and 8 nuts to secure the frame using an Allen key and spanner.
4. Untie each gas strut mechanism and remove the transit protection block.
5. Tilt the arms of the struts upwards to connect to the slat frame support bar.
6. Tighten all nuts and washers on the arms to secure the gas struts.
Be cautious, as the instructions mention lifting the frame without the mattress even though guidance advises against it.
