7.2 Sharpening
ProfilCut Q / ProfilCut Q Premium
ProfilCut Q-/ProfilCut Q Premium profile knives are equipped with hard coating and are
designed as changing knives.
If required their cutting area can be resharpened 1 time in the Leitz service stations.
A minimal knife thickness of 1.7 mm strictly must be observed.
Risk of knife breakage!
The sharpening process removes the coating, which can reduce the tool life compared to
the new condition.
Each sharpening of the profile knives causes a change of diameter and profile!
ProfilCut Q PLUS
ProfilCut Q PLUS / ProfilCut Q PLUS Premium profile knives have a hard coating and can
be resharpened 5 times.
The sharpening process removes the coating, which can reduce the tool life compared to
the new condition.
Resharpening the profile knives does NOT change the diameter or profile.
