FAQ

Indoor unit
The flap does not start swinging
immediately.
• T he air conditioner is adjusting the position of the flap.
The flap will start moving soon.
Operation does not start soon.
„ When any direct operation button was pressed
soon after operation was stopped.
„ When the mode was reselected.
• T his is to protect the air conditioner.
You should wait for about 3 minutes.
Outdoor unit
The outdoor unit emits water.
„ In COOL or DRY operation
• M oisture in the air condenses into water on the cool surface of the outdoor
unit piping and drips.
Different sounds are heard.
„ A sound like flowing water
• T his sound is generated because the refrigerant in the
air conditioner is flowing.
• T his is a pumping sound of the water in the air
conditioner and can be heard when the water is
pumped out from the air conditioner during COOL or
DRY operation.
• Refrigerant flows inside the air conditioner even when
one indoor unit is not in operation if the other indoor
unit is in operation.
„ Ticking sound
• T his sound is generated when the cabinet and frame
of the air conditioner slightly expand or shrink as a
result of temperature changes.
„ Clicking sound during operation or idle time
• T his sound is generated when the refrigerant control
valves or the electrical parts operate.
„ Clopping sound
• This sound is heard from the inside of the air conditioner
when the exhaust fan is activated while the room doors
are closed. Open the window or turn off the exhaust fan.
„ Rotating machinery causes sound
• Sound is heard when the vertical swing flaps and
the horizontal swing flaps move.
• When the air conditioner is operating in a quiet
environment and the airflow rate of the indoor unit is set
to Quiet Mode or Low Mode, the motion of the swing
flaps may cause sound.
* A ppearance of the outdoor unit may differ from some models.
