• DO NOT install the following exter-
nal (outdoor) water heaters indoor:
RSC199e and RSC160e.
• DO NOT install the water heater in an
area where water leakage of the unit
or connections will result in damage to
the area adjacent to the appliance or to
lower floors of the structure. When such
locations cannot be avoided, it is recom-
mended that a suitable drain pan, ade-
quately drained, be installed under the
water heater. The pan must not restrict
combustion air flow.
• DO NOT install the water heater in an
area with negative air pressure.
• DO NOT obstruct the flow of combustion
and ventilation air.
• DO NOT use chemically treated water
(i.e. chlorinated water or salt water for
pools or spas) in the appliance.
• DO NOT use substitute parts that are not
authorized for this appliance.
