To fix the inaccurate temperature display on your Oregon Scientific BAR112HGA, follow these steps:
1. Check Batteries: Ensure fresh batteries are correctly installed in both the main unit and the remote sensor.
2. Reset the Units: Press the reset button on both the main unit and the remote sensor to re-establish the connection and recalibrate readings.
3. Check Signal: Make sure the remote sensor is within the transmission range and not obstructed. Avoid placing it near metal objects or electronic devices that may cause signal interference.
4. Avoid Transmission Collision: Ensure that only one remote sensor is transmitting at a time to prevent data collision.
5. Reposition Sensor: Place the remote sensor in a shaded, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or moisture to get accurate outdoor readings.
6. Verify Comfort Level Indicators: Use the comfort level indicators to assess whether the displayed temperature and humidity fall within the expected range.
If the issue persists after these steps, the sensor may be faulty and require replacement.
