NSTALLATION
This chapter contains 35 and 45 Amp AC and DC Total Control chassis
installation information.
To install the chassis you will need:
A flat-head screwdriver
A #2 Phillips screwdriver
Fasteners (nuts, bolts, and screws) compatible with the rack
Optional:
Extender brackets (23-inch rack or mid-mount installation)

Air Cooling
For optimal ventilation, install a fan tray to distribute forced air. Obtain
fan tray ordering information from your 3Com Sales Representative.
CAUTION: Do not block the power supply unit cooling fan on the
rear of the chassis. Restricting the air flow through this fan may cause
temperatures to increase and the power supply components to mal-
function. Do not block the vents on the top and bottom of the chassis.
