Note:
To compensate for possible play in the
blade height setting mechanism, always
raise the blade to the desired position
from below.

Sawing with the rip fence

The fence extrusion of the rip fence
must be adapted to the workpiece to be
cut.

Adapting the rip fence to the work-
piece height
1. Undo the wing nuts (53) and remove
the fence extrusion.
2. Depending on the workpiece height,
mount the high auxiliary fence (50)
or the low auxiliary fence (51).
3. Fix the fence extrusion in place us-
ing the wing nuts (53).
4. Lock the rip fence in position with
the lock lever (54).
Adapting the rip fence to the work-
piece length
1. Undo the wing nuts (53) and remove
the fence extrusion.
2. Adjust the fence extrusion in the lon-
gitudinal direction (52) for the work-
piece length.
3. Fix the fence extrusion in place us-
ing the wing nuts (53).
4. Lock the rip fence in position with
the lock lever (54).

Sawing with the rip fence
1. Lower the rip fence (57) onto the
guide rail (59) on the front of the
saw.
2. Using the scale stamped on the saw
table (56) set the distance from the
rip fence to the saw blade.

the lock lever (58).

Danger!
Always use the push stick if the dis-
tance between saw blade and rip
fence is less than 120 mm.

Note:
If the push stick is not needed it can be
fastened via the clip (55) to the fence
extrusion.
4. Set the cutting height of the saw
blade.
5. Start motor.
6. Guide the workpiece slowly along
the rip fence up to the saw blade
and cut in a single pass.
7. Turn machine off if no further cutting
is to be done immediately after-
wards.

Note:
If you do not need the rip fence you can
hang it via the hole (60) on the suspen-
sion bolt (61) on the front right table leg
for easy access.

Setting the rip fence for ripping solid
wood
1. Set the rear end of the rip fence (62)
at a position corresponding to the
midpoint (64) between the saw spin-
dle (63) and the saw blade tip (65).

Caution!
After every cutting operation use the
push stick to guide the workpiece
carefully between the saw blade and
the rip fence to the rear area of the
saw table and remove it from the ta-
ble.
Setting the rip fence for cutting
boards
1. Set the rear end of the rip fence (66)
to the maximum possible length, or
at least such that it is in line with the
saw spindle (67).
