CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Warning: Always switch the machine off, disconnect it from the power supply and let it cool down before performing inspection, maintenance
and cleaning work.
• Use a small brush to clean the outside of the unit. Do not use strong detergents. Household cleaners that contain aromatic oils such as pine and lemon, and
solvents such as kerosene, can damage plastic.
• Wipe off any moisture with a soft cloth.
• Inspect the product before and after each use for worn and damaged parts. Do not operate it if you find worn and damaged parts.
Note: If the cutting blade is blocked by foreign objects during operation, switch the machine off, wait until the cutting blade stops moving completely, remove
the foreign objects and then clean the cutting blade.
TRANSPORT
• Clean the product as described above.
• Ensure that the machine is protected from any heavy impacts or strong vibrations which may occur during transportation in vehicles.
• Secure the machine to prevent it from slipping or falling over.
STORAGE
• Clean the product as described above.
• Store the machine and its accessories in a dark, dry, frost-free, well-ventilated place.
• Always store the product in a place that is inaccessible to children. The ideal storage temperature is between 10 °C and 30 °C.
• We recommend using the original package for storage or covering the product with a suitable cloth to protect it against dust.

In order to avoid damages on transportation, the tool has to be delivered in solid packaging. Packaging as well as the unit and accessories are made of
recyclable materials and can be disposed accordingly. The tool's plastics components are marked according to their material, which makes it possible to remove
environmental friendly and differentiated because of available collection facilities.

In observance of European Directive 2002/96/EC on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its implementation in accordance with
national law, electric tools that have reached the end of their life must be collected separately and returned to an environmentally compatible
recycling facility.

Possible causes
1. The power cord or extension cord is damaged or not
properly plugged in to the socket.
2. Safety key is removed from the power switch.
3. The hopper is open.
4. Motor is overloaded and circuit breaker trips.
1. The material is jammed in the feed inlet.
2. The cutting blades are blocked.
3. The discharge chute is blocked.
1. The cutting blade edges are worn.

Solution
1. Check the power cord, extension cord, power plug
and the socket. Do not use the machine if any cord is
damaged.
2. Check that the hopper closed and that the hopper lock
knob is tightened.
3. Check that the hopper closed and that the hopper lock
knob is tightened.
4. Either too much material has been fed into the
machine or the material is too hard for the shredder to
handle. Wait for the motor to cool down and press the
reset button. Reduce the quantity of material being fed
into the machine and restart the shredder.
1. Turn off the machine and unplug it from the socket.
Open the hopper and remove the materials jamming the
machine.
2. Turn off the machine and unplug it from the socket.
Open the hopper and blade cover. Remove the material
blocking the blade. Close the blade cover and hopper.
3. Turn off the machine and unplug it from the socket.
Open the hopper and the plate of the discharge chute to
clear the blocked material. Replace the plate and hopper.
1. Reverse the blades or replace them with new ones.
