SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Attention: Read the manual carefully before using this machine. After reading the manual, save it for future reference.
Do not stand on the machine.
Wait until all machine components
have completely stopped before
touching them.
Keep bystanders and pets away from
the machine while it is shredding.
Protection against splashed water
from all directions.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children must not be allowed to play with the appliance.
• Unsupervised children must not be allowed to clean and maintain the machine.
• Keep children and pets at a safe distance away from the device while it is in operation.
• Never allow children or people unfamiliar with these instructions to use the machine.
• Keep in mind that the operator is responsible in case bystanders are injured or have their property damaged during operation of this machine.
• Wear safety glasses and hearing protection at all times while operating this machine.
• While operating the machine always wear safety shoes and long trousers. Do not operate the machine when barefoot or wearing open sandals. Avoid
wearing loose fitting clothes and ties.
• Operate the machine only on a firm and level surface.
• Do not operate the machine on a paved or gravel surface where ejected material could cause injury.
• Before using, always inspect the machine to ensure that the shredding part, the bolts and other fasteners are secure, that the housing is undamaged and
that the guards and screens are in place. Replace unreadable labels.
• Before use check the supply and extension cord for signs of damage or wear. If the cord becomes damaged during use, disconnect the cord's plug from the
socket immediately. TOUCH THE CORD ONLY IF IT IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE POWER SUPPLY. Do not use the machine if the cord is damaged or worn.
• Never operate the machine while other persons, especially children, or pets are nearby.

Operation

• Before starting the machine, ensure that the feeding chamber is empty.
• Keep your face and body away from the feed intake opening.
• Keep your hands or any other part of your body or clothing at a safe distance from the feeding chamber, discharge chute, or any moving part.
• Keep proper balance and footing at all times. Do not overreach. Never stand at a higher level than the base of the machine when feeding material into it.
• Always stand clear of the discharge zone when operating this machine.
• Ensure that the material that is fed into the machine does not include pieces of metal, rocks, bottles, cans or other foreign objects.
• If the cutting mechanism strikes any foreign objects or if the machine should start making any unusual noise or vibration, immediately disconnect the
machine from the power source and allow the machine to stop. Take the following steps before restarting and operating the machine:
i) inspect for damage
ii) replace or repair any damaged parts
iii) check for loose parts and tighten if necessary.
• Do not allow processed material to build up in the discharge zone, this may prevent proper discharge and can result in the ejection of material through the
feed intake opening.
• If the machine becomes clogged, turn off the machine and disconnect it from the power source before removing the obstructing material.
• Never operate the machine with defective guards or shields, or without safety devices, for example debris collector in place.
• Keep the power source free of debris and other accumulation of material to prevent damage to the power source or possible fire.
• Do not transport the machine while it connected to a power source and running.
