INTENDED USE

The Colposcope is an optical instrument for use as a diagnostic aide.
The system includes three main components:
1. Stereo microscope head with zoom magnification optics
2. LED light source
3. Center-post stand and base (570-148 and 570-149)
BASE AND THE CENTER-POST STAND ASSEMBLY
The base is preassembled. No assembly is required.
The center-post stand consists of two pieces:
-
upper post with focusing mount and LED illuminator;
-
lower with illuminator control box.
To assemble the center-post stand and base follow the procedures below:
1. Unpack the box containing the 5-leg base (preassembled) and put it on a flat surface.
2. Unpack the box containing the center-post components (preassembled upper post with
focusing mount and lower post with illumination mounted on).
3. Install the lower post into the mounting hole of the base. Insert the bolt through the
bottom of the base in to threaded hole of the post. Tighten using the Allen wrench
provided. IMPORTANT: Make sure the bolt is securely tightened!
