Using batteries

The CK requires eight "AA" size, Alkaline (LR6) or
rechargeable nickel-metal hydride batteries
(rechargeable Ni-MH batteries).
Use of the AC adaptor is recommended when keeping
the CK on for an extended time.
1.
Make sure that the CK is turned off.
2.
Turn the CK over and place the top side on a
soft cloth.

Open the battery compartment cover.

4.
Insert the eight new batteries, being careful
to follow the polarity markings on the
inside (or next to) the compartment.

5.
Close the compartment cover until it clicks
into place.
6.
Turn the CK face up.
Do not leave the CK with the front panel side down.
NOTICE
• Connecting or disconnecting the AC adaptor with
batteries installed may turn the power off, resulting in loss
of data being edited at the time.
• When battery power becomes too low for proper
operation, the volume may be reduced, the sound may be
distorted, and other problems may occur. When this
happens, make sure to replace all batteries with new ones
or already recharged ones.
NOTE
• This instrument cannot be used to charge the batteries. Use only
the specified charger device when charging.
• Power will be automatically drawn from the AC adaptor if an AC
adaptor is connected while batteries are installed in the
instrument.
