Troubleshooting

INSTALLATION
PROBLEM
A. The latch does not
operate correctly after
installation.
B. Cannot remove key after
the lock is installed.

A. Battery indicator keeps
ashing.
B. Keypad not responding.
C. Programming code can
not be changed.
D. What should I do if wrong
code was entered?
1. Make sure the backset on the latch is set to the proper length and that the
bevelled surface of the bolt faces the strike plate and door jamb.
1. The key should be turned counter-clockwise for installng the exterior lever, and
then turned clockwise to remove. If the key was turned clockwise for installation,
they key will be trapped. Turn the key to vertical position, remove the exterior lever
assembly and re-install.

1. The batteries are getting low. Please replace with four new batteries for the best
performance (AA alkaline batteries only).
1. Check the battery installation.
2. The batteries are getting low if the battery indicator keeps ashing. Please replace
with four new batteries for the best performance (AA alkaline batteries only ).
3. Make sure the cable is well-connected to the port, and was not damaged during
installation.
4. Make sure the lock is not in Passage mode.
1. Please refer to Step 12 (p. 19) in the user guide to restore factory settings and
reprogram all codes.
1. Press
button once and continue to input code according to regular procedures.
