10. Install the discharge deflector using the parts
shown in Figure

WARNING
An uncovered discharge opening could
allow the lawn mower to throw objects at
you or bystanders, resulting in serious
injury. Also, contact with the blade could
occur.
• Never operate the lawn mower unless
you install a cover plate, a mulch
plate, or a grass chute and catcher.
• Ensure that the grass deflector is in
the down position.
11. Install the plastic belt cover and tighten the
knobs.
12. Remove the bags from the hopper assembly by
opening the hopper and lifting up the rear of the
bag and unhooking the front clip.
13. Remove the hopper assembly.
14. Remove the caster weights as follows:
A. Remove the locknut (3/8 inch) from the
bottom of the 20.4 kg (45 lb) weight
mounted to the caster arm
B. Remove the bolt (3/8 x 8 inches) and
washer (Figure
C. Remove the locknut (3/8 inch) from the top
9.1 kg (20 lb) caster weight
D. Carefully lift and remove each weight from
the caster arms.
