General safety instructions
NOTE
• Read through the operating
manual carefully before initial
start-up of the device, and pay
attention to the safety instruc-
tions.
• Store the operating manual for
later use and keep it close to
the device.
• Pass the manual on to the
new owner in the event of a
change of ownership.
CAUTION

The device must not be
operated by:

• People with limited physical,
sensory or mental capabilities
• People with a lack of experience
and knowledge.

Risk of electric shock
Improper handling of the device
can lead to electric shocks.
• Check the device and the cable
for damage before use.
• Switch the device off if it is
damaged or not working cor-
rectly and before relocation,
maintenance or cleaning,
and also disconnect the power
plug.
• Never remove the power plug
from the socket by pulling on the
power supply cable.
• Do not touch the power plug with
wet hands.
• Do not allow water from
penetrating the device.

the cutting unit
Cutting injuries are possible be-
cause of the sharp cutting unit.
• Wear protective gloves when
removing blockages.

cutting unit operation.
• Keep hair, clothing, scarves, ties
and body jewellery away from
the infeed slot area.
• Do not shred any material
that may become tangled (e.g.
tapes, tie fasteners or soft plastic
fi lm).
