1 Proper use, warranty
The Profi Pack 400 is intended exclusively for the manu-
facture of packing cushions from cardboard packaging.
The warranty period for the machine is 2 years. This war-
ranty excludes wear, damage due to improper handling,
natural depreciation, and actions taken by third parties.

2 Safety instructions

Read the operating instructions before
switching on the document shredder.
Save these instructions for later use. Fol-
low all warnings and instructions marked
on the product!
Risk of injury!
Do not reach into the paper feed slot.
Risk of injury from being pulled in!
Keep long hair, loose articles of clothing,
ties, scarves, jewellery, etc. away from
feed opening. Material with the tendency
to form loops, e.g. tapes, strapping mate-
rial, etc. must not be processed.
Keep product out of the reach of children.
The Profi Pack 400 should be operated
only with an operator in attendance.
If there is damage or the device is not
functioning properly, switch it off, pull out
the plug from the mains and call cus-
tomer service.
Service work may only be carried out by
HSM Customer Service or by the service
technicians of our contractual partners.

• Take care that the mains plug can be reached easily.
• Before plugging in the mains plug, check that the the
voltage and frequency of your mains supply are in ac-
cordance with the specifi cations on the type plate.
• Make sure no liquid is spilled on or in the device.
• The device must not be set up near a heating element
or another source of warmth.
• The ventilation slots must not be blocked or covered
and there must be at least 5 cm space between the
device and any wall or furniture.
