Note: Separate multiple access points by at least five channels whenever
possible. When units in the same service area are set to the same channel, they
share that channel and performance is not affected, but bandwidth is not
combined. For example, three access points using different channels have a
total of 6 Mbps available. If all access points are on the same channel, only 2
Mbps are available for wireless users.
When your BayStack 660 Access Points are located to provide load balancing,
set the channels so that they are separated by at least five channels
In this example, BayStack 660 Access Point #1 is set to Channel 1, BayStack 660
Access Point #2 is set to channel 6, BayStack 660 Access Point #3 is set to
channel 11. The purpose of load balancing is to distribute the communications
traffic evenly over the available access points.
