There are two recommended means of performing multicard application
loadware upgrades in a mixed card group.
1.
Loadware upgrade from a PC Card (PCMCIA).
2.
Loadware upgrade from an external FTP Server.
STEP1: Disable all cards in the group from overlay 32 on the switch
software.
STEP2: FTP into the IP address of the server card. The username and
password are the same as that of the VxWorks shell.
STEP3: Change directory to the "/A:" drive on the card.
STEP4: Change the file transfer type to binary.
STEP5: Copy the new loadware files for both VPS card (NTVQ09AB) and
Media Card (NTVQ09BA) onto the compact flash drive.
STEP6: Log out of the FTP session. Below is an example of transferring
VPS(NTVQ09AB) loadware (vpsLoad.mms) and Media Card
(NTVQ09BA) loadware (mcload) onto the "/A:/" drive of the card.
