On the outside, this tender is accurately detailed and is equipped with the latest technology to bring you realistic loading and unloading sounds, and true-to-life freight car sounds.     3. Increase track power (no more than 18 volts AC). If a circuit breaker trips when you turn on the Lionel power supply, check the wheels of your tender to make sure they are all securely on the track. Check to make sure the track is free of all metals that may cause a short circuit.

    Setting up your VISION Auxiliary Water Tender in your CAB-2 remote or best operation, your VISION Auxiliary Water Tender should be set to TYPE FRT (Freight Sounds). This will display a special set of touch screen icons specifically designed for use with this type of car.
  • Page 8 Adding Your Auxiliary Water Tender to a Train For best operation, your VISION Auxiliary Water Tender should be assigned to a Train. Be sure it has a different engine ID from any active locomotives on your layout. To add a tender to a train: 1.
  • Page 9 To move your locomotive, select the Train by its ID number and use the throttle, boost, and brake to run it. Apply your CAB2 Train brake and hear the brakes operating on your VISION Auxiliary Water Tender. For more prototypical action, stopping with the train brake applied (in any amount) will keep your freight consist stretched-out and prevents stress on the coupler when starting.

    1. Press the TR button and press two digits (from 01-99). Use the same number you chose when assigning the head-end locomotive. 2. Enter the one or two digit TMCC ID of the VISION Auxiliary Water Tender. 3. (Optional Step) Press the R coupler button to set as Rear. As Rear, your tender’s coupler will be activated via the train address.

    Pressing the volume up or down buttons (see pages 11 or 15) adjusts the overall volume of your VISION Auxiliary Water Tender. A single bell ring will be heard each time the volume is raised or lowered, except that no ring will be heard once the volume reaches the minimum or maximum levels.

    Sound System Operations Freight Sounds hen your Auxiliary Water Tender is running on the track, you will hear a variety of realistic freight car sounds in the background. Listen for an occasional “knock” of the wheels as they clatter over crossing rail junctions, wheel-flange grinding and assorted bumping, groaning, and scraping sounds along the route.

    Lionel LLC or any Lionel Authorized Service Station MUST be accompanied by the original receipt for purchase (or copy) from an Authorized Lionel Retailer*, will at the discretion of Lionel LLC, be repaired or replaced, without charge for parts or labor. In the event the defective product cannot be repaired, and a suitable replacement is not available, Lionel will offer to replace the product with a comparable model (determined by Lionel LLC), if available.
