Fixed coupler installation Installing a Lionel Sound Activation Button f your transformer lacks WHISTLE button, you will need to install a Lionel no. 610-5906-001 Sound Activation Button (available separately) to activate the locomotive’s whistle sounds. Connect the button as shown in Figure 2. Be sure that all track power passes through the Sound Activation Button.
