4. Models 911375, 379: Pull the handlebar
into the upright position. Push operator
presence control handle forward and
rotate handlebar to the desired position.
See Figure 5.

5. Check engine oil level and add if
necessary. See engine manual.
6. Set up mower for bagging or mulching.
See MOWER SET-UP on page 17.
7. Fill fuel tank. See FILLING FUEL TANK
on page 16.
8. Connect the battery (Model 911379).
See BATTERY on page 25.
9. Connect spark plug wire.
10. Check the operator presence control
feature. Try starting the engine without
the handle held against the handlebar.
Engine must not start. If engine starts,
stop engine by disconnecting spark plug
while wearing gloves. Contact an
authorized Ariens dealer for adjustment
or repair. See Operator Presence
Control (OPC) Handle on page 15.
