SAFETY DEVICES

With the master switch (IG) in SUMMER or WINTER position, the circulator (MP) is
operated for 30 seconds after 24 hours of inactivity.
To restrict the formation of mineral deposits (limestone) in the event of leaks in the hot
water circuit (taps not closed, hot water circuit leaks, etc.), the temperature of the boiler is
restricted to 57 ºC if the NTC hot water probe (NS) detects a temperature increase during
operation in central heating mode.
When this safety device trips, LED LD2 (red) start flashing quickly.
This function can be disengaged by means of switch JP2 (see modulation board
adjustments).
If, within 10 seconds from the start of the ignition cycle, the detection electrode (E3) fails to
detect the presence of a flame on the burner, boiler operation is stopped.
To start the appliance again, the master switch (IG) will have to be temporarily returned to
RESET position and a hot water or heating request made.
The tripping of the safety switch is indicated by the lighting up of LED LD2 (red).
In the event of the overheating thermostat contact being opened (temperature of primary
circuit over 105 ºC), boiler operation is stopped.
To start the boiler again, the master switch (IG) must be temporarily moved to RESET
position and a hot water or heating request made.
The tripping of the safety device is indicated by the flashing of LED LD2 (red).
To prevent the water-gas exchanger from overheating, when the NTC heating sensor (NM)
detects an increase in temperature of over 5 ºC per second (pump stopped, system cocks
closed, etc) the burner is turned off.
The tripping of the safety device is indicated on the control panel by the lighting up of LED
LD2 (red) and the flashing of LED LD1 (yellow).
To prevent the water/gas exchanger from overheating, at the end of each heating request,
the circulator (MP) is kept operating for 30 seconds.
To quickly lower the exchanger temperature after a hot water request, the pump is started
for:
- 2.5 seconds if the main switch (IG) is in SUMMER position
- 1.5 seconds if the main switch (IG) is in WINTER position
This function can be disengaged by means of switch JP2 (see modulation board
adjustments).
After the burner has switched off, at the end of a request, the combustion chamber is
washed and the fan (MV) is kept on for 30 seconds.
The fault of the hot water sensor (NS) prevents operation in hot water phase.
The fault of the heating sensor (NM) prevents operation in heating and hot water phases.
The tripping of both safety devices is indicated on the control panel by the flashing of
yellow LED LD1.
To prevent the water/gas exchanger from overheating, if the temperature of the primary
circuit detected by NTC heating sensor (NM) exceeds 88 ºC, the fan (MV) is started until
the temperature has dropped to 85 ºC.
