Step 2. Remove the heat sink.

Remove the thermal fan

Make sure the following FRUs (or CRUs) have been removed.
"Remove the lower case" on page 33
Step 1. Detach the thermal fan connector.

Step 2. Remove 2 screws.
Step 3. Remove the thermal fan.

Remove the CMOS battery

Make sure the following FRUs (or CRUs) have been removed.
"Remove the lower case" on page 33
Step 1. Pry up the CMOS battery.
