BREAK-IN PERIOD

Engine

With Bombardier-Rotax
gine(s), a break-in period is required
before operating the engine at full
throttle. We recommend about 10 op-
erating hours.
During this period, maximum throttle
should not exceed 3/4, however,
brief full acceleration and speed varia-
tions contribute to a good break-in.
Continued wide open throttle acceler-
ations, prolonged cruising speeds and
overloading the engine(s) are detri-
mental during the break-in period.
To assure additional protection during
the initial break-in period, it is recom-
mended to add 2 liters (1/2 gal) of
BOMBARDIER ROTAX INJECTION
OIL in the fuel tank. The oil should
be added for the first full fuel tank
filling only.
To add injection oil in the fuel tank, pro-
ceed as follows:
Fill fuel tank with approximately 50 li-
ters (12 gal) of gasoline; then, add the
required quantity of injection oil in the
fuel tank.

Continue to fill until tank is full. Do
not overfill.
NOTE: It is important to proceed in
this order to allow a proper mixing of
the oil in the gasoline. If oil is added
first in an empty fuel tank, fuel lines
will be filled up with injection oil lead-
ing in a no start condition of the en-
gine(s) and possible engine failure (hy-
drolock).
-
CAUTION
Remove and clean spark plugs af-
ter engine break-in.

10-Hour Inspection

It is highly recommended that after
the first 10 hours of operation, the jet
boat be checked by an authorized
dealer. This inspection will also pro-
vide the opportunity to discuss any un-
answered questions you may have en-
countered during the first hours of
operation.
The 10-hour inspection is at the ex-
pense of the jet boat owner.
