9. Starting Motor
Disassembly procedure
1) Nut M8
Remove the magnetic switch nut M8 (12
mm), and disconnect the connecting wire.
2) Screw M4 (2)
3) Through bolt M5 (2)
4) Rear cover
Remove the M4 screw fastening the brush
holder and remove through bolt M5 for
rear cover removal.
5) Brush holder
Pull the brush spring up with the brush
spring puller. On the negative (-) side,
bring the brush spring into contact with the
side of the brush for lifting from the com-
mutator surface. On the positive (+) side,
extract the brush from the brush holder.
