4.17 Removing the SmartFresh Compartment Shelf with Control
Electronics
Note:
The shelf above the SmartFresh drawers contains several components,
including the air flaps and the control electronics. The control electronics
cannot be taken out of the shelf; if they are faulty, the entire shelf must be
replaced.
1. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
2. Take out the SmartFresh drawers.
3. Press in the left and right release clips (tabs) with your fingers (Figure
030-36, Item A) and pull the shelf forwards slightly, about one inch
(Figure 030-36, Item B).

4. Disconnect the Molex connections on the back of the shelf. See Figure
030-37, Items A and B. Remove the shelf from the appliance.
