16. Troubleshooting

WARNING
Always switch the machine off and remove the mains plug prior to all maintenance and cleaning work.
Fault
Saw blade without pins
loosens after switching
off the engine
Motor does not start
Saw blades brake
Saw blade oscillates, not
aligned straightly.
Possible cause
Saw blade clamping screw
(28/29) not tightened enough
Mains fuse blown
Extension cable defective
Fine-wire fuse defective
Connection to the motor or
switch not OK
Motor or switch faulty
Tension set incorrectly
Load too high
Incorrect saw blade type
Workpiece not fed straightly
Holders not aligned

Remedy
Tighten the saw blade clamping screw (28/29)
Check mains fuse
Replace the extension cable
Check the fine-wire fuse and, if necessary, replace it
with a fine-wire fuse of the same type.
Have this checked by an electrician

Set correct tension
Feed workpiece more slowly
Use correct saw blades
Avoid lateral pressure
Open the screws that fasten the holders. Bring the
holders into the vertical position and tighten the screws
again.
