Putting into service

Check the connections once
again for correctness.
Plug the in-plug power supply
into a power socket.
Switch the TV receiver on.
Select the programme number
on the TV receiver to which the
camera is connected.
The picture and sound repro-
duced by the camera can now
be seen and heard.
If the TV receiver has no 75
ohm resistance at the video
input, then the supplied adap-
ter (9) should be used, as sho-
wn in the above illustration.
12
Normally this is the programme
AV or 0 (if this is not the case,
refer to the TV receiver opera-
ting instructions for assistance).
If contrary to expectations no
picture appears on the screen,
or should some other fault be
recognised, immediately switch
off the operating voltage and
switch off the TV receiver and
check once again in accordan-
ce with the "Rectification of
faults" checklist further below
in these operating instructions.
In this connection, refer to the
operating instructions of the
connected TV receiver for assi-
stance. If on the other hand no
information about a 75 ohm re-
sistance appears in the opera-
ting instructions, then use the
adapter (9) only when the TV
picture shows strong interferen-
ce which cannot be rectified by
adjustment of the TV receiver.

Operation

To view what can be seen wit-
hin the camera capture area,
switch to the camera program-
me number on the connected
TV receiver (AV or programme
0).

Maintenance and disposal

Maintenance

Regularly check the technical safety of the ViewCam Camera VC-
1026B and of the connected current source, e.g. for damage to the
connecting cables and casing.
If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, then
the camera or the power supply must be switched off and protec-
ted against unintentional operation!
Withdraw the power plug from the power socket!
Safe operation is to be considered no longer possible when:
the camera or the connecting cables show visible damage,
the camera or the connected power supply no longer operate
after extended storage under adverse conditions
after severe transportation stress.
Faulty power supplies can produce voltages over 50 V DC, which
can be dangerous even when the indicated normal output voltages
of the power supply are lower than this.
The camera sends pictures
continuously, even when the TV
receiver is switched off.
