Tighten the threaded end of the counterweight bar into the
declination axis of the equatorial mount.

The other cable attaches to the R.A. axis gear shaft.

Loosen the set screw on the focuser. Remove the plastic cap
covering the end of the visual back.

Slide the finderscope bracket into the dovetail slot on the
telescope tube near the focuser. The large window on the
finder should be facing the front of the telescope. Secure
the bracket by tightening the setscrew on the dovetail slot.
WARNING: NEVER ATTEMPT TO VIEW THE SUN THROUGH ANY TELESCOPE WITHOUT PROPER FILTERING!

Remove safety screw from the end of the counterweight bar.
Slide the counterweights half way up the bar and tighten the
locking screw to secure in place. Replace safety screw.

Place the telescope tube on the equatorial mount so that the
tube is facing forward as pictured above.

Insert the diagonal into the visual back and tighten the
set screw.

There is a small clear plastic tab inserted between the
battery and the contact. This was included to prevent the
battery from discharging during shipment. Pull this out to
allow your battery to work. For longer battery life be sure to
turn off finderscope when not in use.

Slide the chrome end of the slow motion control cable onto
declination axis gear shaft.

Center dovetail in the mount and tighten fastening screw.
For added security tighten the angled lock down screw next
to the fastening screw.

Insert the chrome barrel of the 20mm eyepiece into the
diagonal and tighten the set screw.

Remove the lens cap from the front of the telescope. To
observe, look through the eyepiece as shown above. Focus
the image by turning the knob on the back of the telescope.
