What is Wake-on-LAN?
The Wake-on-LAN feature provides the capability to remotely power on systems supporting
Wake-on-LAN by simply sending a wake-up frame. With this feature, remotely
uploading/downloading data to/from systems during off-peak hours will be feasible.
Wake-on-LAN is a remote management tool with advantages that can reduce system
management workload, provide flexibility to the system administrator's job, and then of course
save your time-consuming efforts and costs.
To enable Wake—on-LAN function, your system requires Ethernet LAN adapter card that can activate
Wake-on—LAN function, a client with Wake-on-LAN capability, and software such as LDCM rev3.10 or
up that can trigger wake-up frame.
