Using Your Remote Control

Arming the Security System

To arm the system, exit the vehicle, close all doors, then press the LOCK button on the remote control. The system
will sound 1 time and the parking lights will flash 1 time, indicating the system is armed, has locked the doors (if
equipped and connected) and activated the starter disable feature. The status indicator (blue warning light on the
dash) will blink steadily, once per second. To arm the system silently, press and hold the LOCK button for 2 seconds
or scroll to vehicle menu 1 and press button #1. The parking lights will flash 1 time, indicating the system is armed,
has locked the doors (if equipped and connected) and activated the starter disable feature. The status indicator
(blue warning light on the dash) will blink steadily, once per second.
The system will sound 3 times if a vehicle entry point has been left open and will be displayed on the 2-way
transmitter as shown below.

Arm with Sensor Bypass

To arm the system and bypass Shock Sensor Zone 4, scroll to
vehicle menu 2 and press button #1 or press LOCK , TRUNK
within 5 seconds.
To arm the system and bypass External Sensor Port Zone 6,
scroll to vehicle menu 2 and press button #2 or press LOCK,
TRUNK, TRUNK within 5 seconds.
To arm the system and bypass both Shock Sensor Zone 4 and External Sensor Port zone
6, scroll to vehicle menu 2 and press button #3 or press LOCK, TRUNK, TRUNK,
TRUNK within 5 seconds.
Hidden Alarm Function
The hidden alarm function disables the siren/horn when triggered, while still flashing the
parking lights and communicating to the 2-way transmitter. To arm the system and active
the hidden alarm feature, scroll to vehicle menu 1 and press button #3 or press TRUNK,
LOCK within 3 seconds.

Active/Passive Arming

Active Arming requires a signal from the transmitter to arm the system. Note that if Automatic Rearm is selected
in programming, the vehicle will rearm if disarmed and a vehicle door is not opened.
Passive Arming will automatically arm the system 30 seconds after all entrances are closed. If an entrance is
reopened during the 30 second countdown the system will wait for the entrance to close and restart the 30 second
countdown.
To bypass passive arming press and release the TRUNK button 2 times while the system is disarmed, the system
will chirp 1 time and the LED will turn on. To return to passive arming, press the LOCK or UNLOCK button.
