Messages

You can send and receive text messages with
your wireless phone. Text messages that you
receive can contain ring tones that you can
store on your phone.

Setting Up the Message Inbox

You must set up your message inbox before you can send
and receive messages.
Note: Usually, your service provider has already set up
your message inbox.
To set up the message inbox, you must configure the
following options. Contact your service provider to obtain
the following information, if necessary. Actual field names
and values may vary depending on the technologies
available to your service provider. Some options may not
be available for all phone models.
In the following procedure, if you select an option such as
Expire After
but do not change it, you must scroll to the
next option. Your phone will not automatically scroll to it.

Sending a Text Message

You can send a text message to 1 or more
recipients. You can manually enter each
recipient's phone number or email address, or
select numbers/addresses from the phonebook
or recent calls lists.
When you manually enter numbers and/or email
addresses, you must insert a space between each entry.

1 time, wait for the space to display, then enter
the next number or email address.
Shortcut: Enter a phone number in the idle display, then

> Send Message to open a new text message

Quick notes are prewritten messages that you
can insert into a message and send quickly (for
example, Call me at ... ). You can also create
new quick notes.

The Quick Note Menu can include the following options:
