8 Quick Start-up Guide for ACS850 with Standard Control Program
Select the motor control mode. DTC is suitable for
most cases.
Scalar mode is recommended if
• the nominal current of the motor is less than 1/6
of the nominal current of the drive,
• the drive is used for test purposes with no motor
connected, or
• the drive controls multiple motors and the number
of motors connected is variable.
Enter the motor data from the motor nameplate.

motor nameplate. For example, if
the motor nominal speed is 1470
rpm on the nameplate, setting the
value of parameter 99.09 Mot

incorrect operation of the drive.
