This document provides instructions to install and turnup the Tellabs® FlexSym OLT6 optical line terminal and the Tellabs® FlexSym OLT 1134. These two OLTs only differ by the backplane capacity of the shelf. The two shelves are identical in installation practices, line cards supported, and troubleshooting practices.
OLT6 Shelf with Cover On OLT6 Shelf with Cover Off The Tellabs® FlexSym OLT6 and the Tellabs® FlexSym OLT 1134 are Optical Line Terminals in the Tellabs family of OLAN PON products. The Tellabs FlexSym® Optical Line Terminal Six (OLT6) and Tellabs® FlexSym OLT 1134 distribution shelves are designed for mid-size and larger enterprise deployments.

Remove the rectifier cover from the rear of the OLT6 shelf by removing the 2 securing knurled nuts and pulling the cover away from the chassis. 5. Prior to installing the first rectifier, use a #2 Phillips screwdriver and loosen the two captive screws on the two latches on either side of the rectifier and pull the top of the latches away from the rectifier.

Tighten the two upper mounting screws to ensure the splitter shelf is secure. 4. Obtain an SC/UPC to SC/APC jumper cable of appropriate length. Connect SC/UPC (OLT side, blue connector) to the correct OLT PON port, then connect the SC/APC (splitter side, green connector) to the #1 port on the input side of the splitter.

Add OLT to Panorama PON Adding the OLT to Panorama PON After the OLT has been initially configured (or turned up) it can be added to the Tellabs Panorama PON element management system (Panorama). Panorama is a graphical user interface (GUI) that provides end-to-end management of the Optical LAN.
