Troubleshooting

If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem yourself.
If the problem cannot be solved with the steps listed, contact the customer service department.
Do not attempt to repair an electrical device yourself!
Problem
The device cannot be
switched on.
The fuse in the fuse
box is triggered.
Water runs out of the
device.
No water or only a
very small amount of
water runs out of the
discharge tap.
During use, an
unpleasant smell is
detected.
Possible cause
The mains plug is not inserted
correctly in the plug socket.
The plug socket is defective.
There is no mains voltage.
The thermostat control (9) has
not been activated.
Too many devices connected to
the same circuit.
There is too much water in the
water reservoir (7).
The discharge tap (12) is still
open.
The discharge tap is blocked.
The device is furred up.
The device is being used for the
first time.
The device has previously been
descaled.
Fix
Insert the mains plug.
Try another plug socket.
Check the fuse of the mains
connection.
Turn the thermostat control
clockwise to the highest
temperature (
).
Reduce the number of devices in
the circuit.
Do not overfill the water
reservoir!
Close the discharge tap and
ensure that the lever (13) cannot
be blocked.
Clean the discharge tap.
Descale the device.
A smell often develops when
new devices are first used.
The smell should disappear once
the device has been used several
times.
Rinse out the device with clear
water.
