5-1 PREPARATION

▄ ADJUSTMENYT SOFTWARE INSTALLATION
q Quit all applications when Windows is running.
w Insert the CD into the appropriate CD drive.
e Double-click the "Setup.exe" contained in the 'CS-F1700
ADJ' folder in the CD drive.
r The "Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for CS-F1700
ADJ" will appear. Click [Next>].
t The "Choose Destination Location" will appear. Then click
[Next>] to install the software to the destination folder. (e.g.
C:\Program Files\Icom\CS-F1700 ADJ)
y After the installation is completed, the "InstallShield Wiz-
ard Complete" will appear. Then click [Finish].
u Eject the CD.
i Program group 'CS-F1700 ADJ' appears in the 'Programs'
folder of the start menu, and 'CS-F1700 ADJ' icon ap-
pears on the desk top screen.
▄ BEFORE STARTING SOFTWARE ADJUSTMENT
Program the adjustment frequencies into the transceiver
using with the CS-F1700 before starting the software adjust-
ment. Otherwise, the transceiver can not start software ad-
justment.
CAUTION!: BACK UP the originally programmed mem-
ory data in the transceiver before program-
ming the adjustment frequencies.
When program the adjustment frequencies into
the transceiver, the transceiver's memory data
will be overwritten and lose original memory
data at the same time.

q Connect the transceiver and PC with OPC-1122*

w Turn the transceiver power ON.
e Boot up Windows, and click the program group 'CS-F1700
ADJ' in the 'Programs' folder of the [Start] menu, then
CS-F1700 ADJ's window appears.
r Click 'Connect' on the CS-F1700 ADJ's window, then
appears transceiver's up-to-date condition.
t Set or modify adjustment data as desired.
