Preparation:
• T urn O N the T V and set to the video input m ode.
• M ake sure TV/VCR/DVD switch has been slided to V C R /D V D .
Then press DVD to select the D V D mode. (The D V D indicator will light)

P ress SETUP MENU in the stop
m ode .
P re s s o r to s e le c t
"Language"
P ress ENTER.
T hen press or
"S ubtitle".
P ress ENTER.
P ress or to select your
de sire d la ngua ge , the n pre ss
ENTER.
English, Francais, Espanol
T he subtitle is displa ye d with the se le cte d la ngua ge if it is
recorded on the disc.
OTHER:
If you wa nt to select another language, ente r the language code
(see the language code list on page 53).
AUTOMATIC:
• T he unit will autom atically select the sam e language in the
AU D IO setting.
• W hen the unit selects the sam e language as the AU D IO , the
subtitles will not appear during playback.
• W hen you do not use the sam e language as the AU D IO, the
subtitles will appear during playback.
Off:
S ubtitles do not appear.
To m ake S E T U P screen disa ppear, press SETUP MENU.
