Passport and all other equipment in the cabinet or perforations in the rear
door of the cabinet, exhaust grill, and exhaust air ducting should be used
to remove the exhaust air. The exhaust air duct and grille area should be
located directly behind the BIP in order to direct the exhaust air from the
rear of the shelf out of the cabinet. The exhaust grille area in the cabinet
door and the exhaust duct cross sectional area should be at least 25 cm
The exhaust air duct must be installed such that air is prevented from
leaking back into the cabinet.
If you plan to install additional equipment in the rack or cabinet above the
Passport 15000 or 20000, do not restrict the inlet or exhaust area of the
cooling unit with equipment cables. There must be sufficient air flow to
ensure that the cooling unit is not taking in air heated by the additional
equipment.
