    The GNF-E and GNFM-E disk harrows are simple to operate, requiring however the basic and essential cautions to their handling. Always keep in mind that safety requires constant attention, observation and prudence during the transportation, maintenance and storage.

  • Page 8 • Whenever you unhitch the equipment, either in the field or shed, do it on a flat and firm surface and use the parking stands.     Use the L shaped socket wrench (B) to tighten the nuts on the bearing bolts. Use the box end wrench (C) to tighten the nuts of the traction set. NOTE We recommend wearing gloves, especially while assembling the disc gangs. GNF-E / GNFM-E Marchesan Implementos e Máquinas Agrícolas “TATU” S.A.

    • Lastly, place the bolt (H-1) and position the lock nut (I-1), fastening with a spring washer and nut. • Check the correct side of the bearings and spacer spools according IMPORTANT to the concavity of the disc blades.     To do so, it is necessary to shut down the engine, relieve the control valve pressure by activating the lever a couple times and check if the couplers are clean. GNF-E / GNFM-E Marchesan Implementos e Máquinas Agrícolas “TATU” S.A.
  • Page 27 To transport the harrow separately, each one on a tractor: 1- Totally close the harrow, locking the frames using a junction axle (A) and cotter pin. 2- Remove the pins (B) and the drawbar (C). GNF-E / GNFM-E Marchesan Implementos e Máquinas Agrícolas “TATU” S.A.

  • Page 29 8- Using a hoist, place the drawbar (K) over the harrow, in a way that it joins with the support, as shown in the figure. 9- Place the support tubes (L) using pins and cotter pins, so that the drawbar will not fall during transportation.   • Page 31 • Using a hoist, place the drawbar (K) over the harrow, in a way that it joins with the support, as shown in the figure below. • Place the support tubes (L) using pins and cotter pins, so the drawbar will not fall during transportation.   • Page 32 • To transport both harrows, it is necessary that the pins and bolts ATTENTION that join them are removed, as stated on item 5. The harrows must only be joined by the hitch bar, pin and cotter pin. GNF-E / GNFM-E Marchesan Implementos e Máquinas Agrícolas “TATU” S.A.

    • Try to make a good finish between passes. Avoid the formation of furrows or untilled strips. • The harrow and tractor drawbars must be as aligned as possible related to the working direction. GNF-E / GNFM-E Marchesan Implementos e Máquinas Agrícolas “TATU” S.A.

    It is necessary to perform the maneuvers in the left side to avoid ATTENTION overloading the equipment and allow it to operate normally.   • Page 42 • During working or transportation, the presence of passengers on the tractor or equipment is not allowed. • As previously mentioned, the harrow has several settings.
