E - UPKEEP AND MAINTENANCE
REMARKS :
- when the electrode is removed, be careful not to damage the end
of the dipping tube located in the torch body,
- check regularly that the dipping tube is properly tightened before
refitting the electrode.

2 - BASIC RULES TO FOLLOW FOR CPM400-450-600

- The hafnium slug of the electrode must not be worn « U1 » (crater depth) above:
1mm : 30-50 A
1.5mm : 80 a 130 A
2mm : 200 A
- The nozzle holes must not be deformed or obstructed.
- All the consumables and the torch must be clean and dry (clean with a dry cloth if necessary)
- Never use a dusty, moist or greasy cloth

The consumables and torch are to be stored in a
clean dry place
Never use soiled or over-used consumables
Visually check the concentricity of the
holes of the upstream and downstream
