Remote control Illustration

Point the remote control to the display window on the subwoofer.
The optimum operational distance is within 7 meters.
When the system receives remote control commands, display value of display window will alert or flash.

Remote control Overview

  1. : Power on/standby
  2. : Mute/mute off
  3. Audio source selection: SD card/USB/PC/AUX/5.1
    Press to switch to Bluetooth mode (press and hold to disconnect Bluetooth)
  4. VOL+: Master volume up
    VOL-: Master volume down
    : Previous/next track (Bluetooth/USB/SD card mode)
    : Play/pause (Bluetooth/USB/SD card mode)
  5. RESET (press and hold to restore to factory settings)
  6. ADJ+/ADJ-: Individual volume up/down
  7. FRNT: Front left and right satellite speaker channel
    REAR: Rear surround left and right satellite speaker channel
    CENT: Center satellite speaker channel
    SUB: Subwoofer channel
    BASS: Bass adjustment
    TREB: Treble adjustment

Battery installation and replacement

Rotate the battery cover based on the arrow direction and remove, correctly install the CR2025 battery into the battery compartment and close cover.

  1. Don't swallow the battery; danger of chemical burn.
  2. The product includes a wafer battery. Swallowing this battery may lead to injury or death. Do not place the new or old battery in where children can get to it.
  3. Don't use the product if the battery cover is missing or not closed, and keep the remote inaccessible to children.
  4. Please go to the hospital immediately if the battery is swallowed.

Note:

  1. Do not place the remote control in places that are hot and humid.
  2. Do not charge the batteries.
  3. Remove the batteries when unused for a long period of time.
  4. The battery should not be exposed to excessive heat such as direct sun, fire or similar.
  5. Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

Note:

  1. Pay attention to speaker connecting cable colors; connect black cable to red wire clamp, and white & black cable to black wire clamp.
  2. Please ensure the power switch on the rear panel of the subwoofer is off before connection.

To achieve the optimum surround sound effect, it is recommended to follow the room design to place the speakers in the way shown in figure A/B.

Note:

  1. The product does not have Dolby and DTS decoding technology; To achieve 5.1 sound effects when in 5.1 sound channel input, please ensure the front-end devices can enable decoding function;
  2. USB flash disk and SD card playing supports MP3 and WMA formatted files; and the maximum capacity is 32GB;
  3. Only in other inputs instead of 5.1 interface input the product will have virtual 5.1 sound effect; if choose 5.1 input to play stereo audio source, the rear surround and center speakers will make no sound.

  1. Press the "" button on the speaker or Press the " " button on the remote control to select Bluetooth input mode, the display screen will show "".
  2. Set your Bluetooth device to search for and connect to "EDIFIER R501BT".
  3. Pin code for connection is "0000" if needed.
  4. To disconnect Bluetooth, please press and hold the "" button on the remote control.

Note:

  1. Bluetooth connectivity and compatibility may be different between different source devices, depending on the software versions of source devices.
  2. To enjoy all Bluetooth functions of this product, please ensure your mobile device has A2DP(Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) profile.

Troubleshooting

Problem

Solution

No sound

  • Check if the power indicator light is ON.
  • Try to turn up the volume using either the master volume control or remote control.
  • Ensure the audio cables are firmly connected and the input is set correctly on the speakers.
  • Check if there is a signal output from the audio source.

Cannot connect via Bluetooth

  • Make sure the speaker is switched to Bluetooth input. If it is in other audio input modes, Bluetooth will not connect. Disconnect from any Bluetooth device by pressing and holding in Bluetooth mode, then try again.
  • Effective Bluetooth transmission range is 10 meters; please ensure that operation is within the range.
  • Try another Bluetooth device for connection.
The R501BT does not turn on
  • Check if main power is connected, or if the wall outlet is switched on.
