Entering a special destination in the
vicinity of current position
Select "Destination" "From POIs"
"Current position" in map view with the
menu system displayed ( page 137).
Continue with designating the special
destination category ( page 160).
Entering a special destination in the
vicinity of a town
Option 1
Select "Destination" "From POIs"
"Other town" in map view with the
menu system displayed ( page 137).
Proceed as described in "Selecting the
country" ( page 144) if necessary.
To enter the town: select "Town".
The town input menu appears.
Proceed as described in the "Entering
the town" section ( page 144).
After you have entered the town, con-
tinue with designating the special des-
tination category ( page 160).

Option 2
Enter an address in the address input
menu ( page 143).
Select "POI".
Continue with designating the special
destination category ( page 160).
Entering a special destination in a
different region

This function provides you with quick access
to special destinations which are of national in-
terest in the country you have selected. The fol-
lowing categories are available:
"MOTORWAY ACCESS"
"MOTORWAY JUNCTION"
"MOTORWAY SERVICES"
"AIRPORT"
"BORDER CROSSING"
Not all categories are available in all countries.

Select "Destination" "From POIs"
"Global POI" in map view with the menu
system displayed ( page 137).
The category list appears. The country
currently set is shown at the top.
To select a different country: select
"Country".
The country list appears.
Select the desired country.
If there are no special destinations for
the selected country, you will see a
message to this effect.
To close the message: select
"OK".
You can select a country again.
If there are special destinations, you
will see the category list again.
Proceed as described in the "Main cat-
egory list without input characters"
section from operating step "To select
a main category" onwards
( page 161).
