Socket 1207 CPU & Cooler Installation
1. Locate the first CPU socket. (The CPU
has a plastic cap on it to protect the
contact from damage. Before install-
ing the CPU, always cover it to pro-
tect the socket pins.)
2. Remove the plastic cap from the load
plate. The pins of the socket reveal.
4. Open the load plate.
5. After confirming the CPU direction (indicated below with red circles) for correct
mating, put down the CPU in the socket housing frame. Be sure to grasp on the
edge of the CPU base. Note that the alignment keys are matched.
6. Visually inspect if the CPU is seated well into the socket. If not, take out the CPU
with pure vertical motion and reinstall.

3. Raise the load lever up to its full extent.
