settings are: [Auto], [Mode 0], [Mode 1], [Mode 2], [Mode 3], [Mode 4].
IDE Primary/Secondary Master/Slave UDMA
Ultra DMA/33 implementation is possible only if your IDE hard drive supports it
and the operating environment includes a DMA driver (Windows 95 OSR2 or a
third-party IDE bus master driver). If your hard drive and your system software
both support Ultra DMA/33, Ultra DMA/66 and Ultra DMA/100 select [Auto] to
enable BIOS support. The settings are: [Auto], [Disabled].
***On-Chip Serial ATA Setting***
The following items allow you to configure the settings about on-chip Serial
ATA settings.
On-Chip Serial ATA
This setting is used to specify the SATA controller. The settings are:
[Disabled]
[Auto]
[Legacy Mode]
[Native Mode]
Serial ATA Port 0/1 Mode
Select a compatible mode for Port 1 and Port 2 from Award setting to the
chipset settings:
1. [Primary Master]
Compatible Mode with Serial ATA Port 1 set to Primary Master.
2. [Primary Slave]
Compatible Mode with Serial ATA Port 1 set to Primary Slave.
3. [Secondary Master]
Compatible Mode with Serial ATA Port 1 set to Secondary Master.
4. [Secondary Slave]
Compatible Mode with Serial ATA Port 1 set to Secondary Slave.
5. [Primary Master]
Compatible Mode with only Serial ATA Enabled and Port 1 set to Primary Master.
6. [Secondary Master]
Compatible Mode with only Serial ATA Enabled and Port 1 set to Secondary
Master.
7. [SATA0 Master]
Enhance Mode with Port 0 set to Native Mode Master.
8. [SATA1 Master]
Enhance Mode with Port 1 set to Native Mode Master.
Onboard Device
Press <Enter> to enter the sub-menu and the following screen appears:
Disable the SATA controller.
PATA and SATA will be arranged by BIOS, and
will be
able to see the IDE Device status listed in
Standard CMOS
PATA and SATA will be combined. Max. of 2 IDE drives in each
channel are available.
PATA and SATA will both be enabled. Max. of 6 IDE drives are
supported.
