    3. Control Panel Description START / STOP Used to resume or stop the counting operation. COUNT / BATCH Used to select the specific operating mode, either 1. COUNT or 2. BATCH. 1. COUNT mode (green LED on) The equipment counts all the coins deposited into the hopper continuously until the hopper is empty.
  • Page 12 3. Control Panel Description (cont.) 2. BATCH mode (green LED off, P appears on the screen) The user must press the BATCH button and set the desired number before beginning the count. The equipment will stop every time the specific batch quantity is reached. The top portion of the screen will show the number of coins counted, and the bottom portion will show the batch quantity set up by the operator.
  • Page 13 3. Control Panel Description (cont.) ADD / LAST: ADD function is active when the green LED is on. In this mode, the equipment will add up every consecutive count to show the grand total. The total result is shown on the top portion of the screen. This applies to both COUNT and BATCH operational modes.

    4. Operation Thickness and Diameter coin selectors Before beginning with the counting operation, the user must set up the specific thickness and diameter for the coin intended to count.

    4. Operation (cont.) 4.1 Basic Counting Operation In this mode, the coins must be presorted by denomination before depositing them into the Hopper Tray. Using the DIAMETER and THICKNESS selectors the user must select the appropriate size of the coin. Coins that do not fit within the diameter and thickness specifications will not be counted.
  • Page 18 4. Operation (cont.) 4.1 Basic Counting Operation (cont.) Position the machine on a stable surface. Connect the unit to the electric outlet and turn it On using the power switch. Adjust both the Diameter and Thickness knobs to the exact position according to the coin’s size to count.

    4. Operation (cont.) 4.2 Sorting / Counting The AB630 allows you to count mixed coins of different denominations (different sizes). This operating mode must be carried out by sorting the largest diameter coins first and separating the smaller diameter coins into a bag. Once done, the user must adjust now the next largest diameter, then pour rejected coins back into the hopper.

Adjust the Diameter and Thickness knobs according to the largest coin present in the bulk. The sorting procedure must start with the largest coin size and finish with the smallest coin size.

    4. Operation (cont.) 4.3 Packaging (with packaging tubes accessories, NOT INCLUDED) Coins can be packaged directly into coin wrappers following these instructions: 1. Choose the coin wrapper and plastic packaging tube according to the coin denomination to be counted. 2. Insert the coin wrapper into the packaging tube and place both beneath the unit’s coin exit.

    5. Jamming Facing a jamming event To ensure that the equipment operates with optimal performance as well as to prevent jamming, avoid the following: Counting bent or damaged coins or tokens Counting any type of foreign object like clips, staples, paper, nylon, rubber bands, etc.

    6. Routine Maintenance To ensure an accurate and smooth count, and to extend the life of the unit, the following routine maintenance is recommended: 1. Turn the power switch OFF when the last count has been completed. 2. Clean the coin track and counting sensor surface. Remove the metallic debris that may be deposited during the counting operation.
