Forecast of cause
Check point 1. Check if valve is open
If the valve is closed, open the valve and check the operation.
NOTE: For cooling operation, check gas valve.
For heating operation, check liquid valve.
Check point 2. Check any of the Electronic Expansion Valve (EEV), capillary tube, or strainer, or all
•
Check if EEV open or there is a capillary tube defect.
Refer to outdoor unit Electronic Expansion Valve (EEV) or Capillary tube in
mation"
on page 03-48.
•
Check the strainer clogging.
If EEV, Capillary tube or Strainer is defective, replace it.
Check point 3. Check if gas leak or less gas
Measure gas pressure, if there is a leak, correct it.
If recharging refrigerant, make sure to perform vacuuming and recharge the specified amount.
Check point 4. Check the discharge thermistor
•
Isn't it fallen off the holder?
•
Is there a cable pinched?
Check characteristics of thermistor (Refer to
page 03-26). If defective, replace the thermistor.
Check point 5. Check the outdoor unit fan and heat exchanger
•
Is there anything obstructing the air distribution circuit?
•
Is there any clogging of outdoor heat exchanger?
•
Is the fan rotating? (Check by hand and if it is locked, replace the motor.)
•
Check outdoor fan motor.
If the fan motor is defective, replace it.
